Compared to the US and China, where advancements in AI, cloud computing, and digital platforms are driven by risk-taking and agility, Europe seems to be lagging behind. The question is: why?

The law requires gatekeepers like Apple, Google, and Meta to comply with specific obligations to ensure competition and fairness in digital markets. Non-compliance can lead to massive fines or even break-up of companies in extreme cases. The DMA is primarily designed to open up markets, promote competition, and reduce monopolistic control. - AI Act:
The AI Act is Europe’s legislative proposal to regulate artificial intelligence (AI). It categorises AI systems based on their level of risk—from minimal to unacceptable—and applies corresponding regulatory obligations.
